So I read alot of negative reviews about the Hotel before hand but I decided to try it out with my girl friend during early August.
First off I did express in my reservations that I had read some negative reviews and was hoping that they weren't true. I honestly think this helped the service.
The Bad:
-Our room wasn't ready when they said it was and had dirty pillows in it but they fixed this immediately.
-Our room was right next to a Banquet Room that had a family reunion going until about 11:00 P.M.
-Overall the place seemed old but not unkempt.
The Good:
-The food at the Brandy Wine (The hotel restaurant) was delicious. It tasted like real southern cooking. We ate at the breakfast buffet and we had lunch twice and dinner once. Very friendly staff and very good food. i can personally say that they have a very good salad bar and amazing country fried steak. Also the appetizers are huge portions.
-The staff was very courteous. The restaurant manager offered us free desert for no apparent reason. The lady at the front desk called us once we got to the room to verify that things were OK. Southern hospitality was everywhere.
-Pleasant decor. Although it did seem very old it had more of an antique feel rather than a run-down feel.
-Has separate pools, one of the pools was full but the other one we went to had no one in it for the entire hour we were there.
Overall a positive experience and I am glad we chose this place.

I stayed at the Hotel one weekend looking to stay with my husband who was working for Fema. We checked in with some freinds and was haveing a great time. We desided to check out the indore pool ,we were gone only 30 minuits and took careful mesures to make sure that we locked the doors behind us. When we returned to our room , we had been robbed . Everything my husband had earned being away from his four kids and wife for the last two weeks was stollen. There is this tiny little window at the far corner of the glass wall looking out to the patio that was strangly unlocked. I didnt even know there was a window there. Well my oppinion is that someone from the inside had to of left that window open on perpose.
But that doesnt pay my house payment now does it. The motell manager made us pay to stay anyway and offered no condolences.!!!!
