48 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I first stayed here in July 2006 (for business) and I loved the place. The room was fresh and kept nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was tasty, fresh and very economical. So when my daughter wanted to get married in Vegas. I told her about Bill's (formerly Barbary Coast) and how what money we would save on the hotel room we would spend elsewhere in Vegas and on their party. Her and her "almost" husband laughed but I assured them that it was a nice place in the center of everything! Well, this trip was very disappointing. The rooms was very worn. The staff was rude and everything that I enjoyed about my first trip was proven wrong. I wish I never returned, my daughter was disappointed that we didn't stay in a nicer place for her wedding and she was tired of dealing with the staff of Bill's by the time she left.

Great place in a great location.Nice rooms, good restaurants. I have been to Vegas 5-6 times and this had to be the best experience for the price I have had. I have stayed at a couple of the high end hotels and was sick and tired of the distance you have to walk to even get close to Las Vegas Blvd. Bills is centrally located right on the strip, and you are only a 20 second walk to the strip once you leave the elevator.
Don't let the few bad reviews sway your decision, this place was perfect.....

I stayed at Bill's with my family, and was pleased with the experience. The hotel is small but located in middle of the strip, between Bally's and The Flamingo, directly across from Caesar's Palace and Bellagio. So very nice location. The rooms are nicely decorated in Victorian style and very clean, but pretty basic. But considering how much time you actually spend in your room that's all you really need is the basics. The beds were very comfortable. We had to ask for more towels and a coffee pot. We needed more blankets but they were out on the night we checked in. We asked for a smoking room when the trip was booked but we got bumped to a non-smoking room because of our late check-in. That's ok, they moved us by 1pm the next day to a smoking room. The casino inside the hotel is small but nice. Gets very congested on the weekends especially around the tables but the Flamingo is right next door and their casino is much bigger and seems less congested. The Victorian room is one of the restaurant's in the hotel. The food is OK, kind of like a Denny's or something like that but double the price. but hey, it's Vegas and everything is double the price. We ate breakfast their everyday and the food is decent. There is also a steakhouse in the hotel but didn't eat there. Overall i was impressed with the place and would stay again. i would recommend this hotel to people that do not get around very well and have trouble with walking becasue of the small size. you can get from your room on the top floor down to the lobby/casino in less than 5 minutes. also this hotel is good for people traveling in large groups since it's very easy to find each other if you need to.

The only thing that this sorry excuse for a casino has going for it is the location. By far the worst customer service I have ever seen. The place is really old and run down. The rooms were horrible. The staff from the check-in person, to the dealers, pit-bosses, and even the security was extremely rude and unfriendly. It almost seemed as if they didn't want anyone to stay at their hotel. Honestly, pay the extra $50 dollars and stay at a place that appreciates you being there.

We stayed at Bill's because of reviews that said how helpful the staff was, and as a decent value for the money. NOT! The staff was indifferent at best and could have cared less about a problem at worst. There was a charge for a double feature porno the day we arrived that was supposedly watched for 18 minutes. "This was obviously incorrect or a mistake, can you give a courtesy and remove the charge." Exact quote " we usually don't allow for mistakes," obviously not for courtesy either. Maids slamming doors at 9 am to rude front desk; just not worth it. Try someplace else in the same price range!
