35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I have stayed in a ton of hotels and this was the worst ever. The pictures that you see on the internet of the place are very old. The place is very outdated. The room I stayed in had very outdated furniture to the point that there were rips in the chair and the couch was stinky. The first thing we did when we entered the room was open the windows because it had a musty smell along with a smelly cigarettes odor. The place had obviously not been cleaned properly in months. Our sox were white until we took our shoes off and walked on the floors. Then they were black. I honestly believe that the floor had not been mopped in a couple months and the rugs not vacuumed nor washed in at least 5 months according to the smell and dirt. I think that 158.00 is too much to charge for the condition of that place.

Sleeping in the bed was very uncomfortable as well. I did not know if they even cleaned any of the linens. I could not wait to get out of there.

I am not likely to return to the Best Western Zoder's Inn.
I would not recommend it to friends.

46 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

My husband and I arrived at Zoders late in the afternooon on july 3rd. We checked in and drove up to where our suite was to find no parking anywhere,we went and told the front desk of our problem and my gosh they all came running.... serveral people came up to where we were and started checking cars for Zoder tags and asked the ones to move so we could park.

We walked into our suite and it was wonderful, clean. decorated nicely and very comfortable.

We bothered the front desk once more for someplace close to eat and they recommended the Trout House next door, which was very good. The lady at the front desk also informed us of the parade at midnight and told us the best place to find a seat to watch it.

The next day our maid came in to service our suite and she was just delightful. She took time to chat with us and tell us all the things we should see and great places to eat away from all the tourists

We spent the next few days walking around and seeing everything we could, Zoder's is close to everything, you can walk to everything in Gatlinburg Zoder's is also right on the trolley line if you get tired.

If you decide to stay at Zoder's look around the property it's very pretty and they take great care of it, also make sure you get your cookies and milk every night.... they are great in the hot tub

I have never taken the time to give a review before but my husband and I had one of the best vacations we have ever had at Zoder's and would highly recommend it to any one

Zoders is a wonderful place to stay any time of the year. We've been coming here since our sons were small and now we bring the grandchildren. Lovely amenities, beautiful indoor pool, caring professional staff, and fantastic setting. It's really close to all of the shopping and attractions but not all of the traffic. You can walk everywhere or take a trolley if you want.

We really enjoyed the breakfast, wine and cheese, and bedtime cookies. The children roasted marshmallows at the firepit and played contentedly at the stream for hours. Zoders is pure bliss.

41 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Our stay was in early February 2008. I traveled to Gatlinburg with my 12 year son. We rented a "honeymoon" suite for the big screen TV since it was during the time of Super Bowl XLII. As my son was returning to the room from the indoor pool, he was harassed by a maid who said that children were not allowed up on the suite level. At check in, it was clear that it was an adult and a child renting the room.

We also were denied extra pillows. At the rate that I had paid, the hotel should have been more accomodating.

There were no directions in the room for the TV system. The projection TV was not fully operational and required a visit from a hotel clerk to make it work. There were three suites available at the price that I paid and the clerk told me that we got the only one without a DVD player so that ruled out watching the movies that we had with us. The other suites were not occupied and judging from the number of cars on property, the occupancy rate was very low for that weekend.

The hotel missed an opportunity to give a good impression and will lose any chance of my business in the future as well as any one I know headed to Gatlinburg.
