They did a great job on the renovation. Looks like an Italian style structure. I stayed here when it was Aku Inn. I was pleasantly surprised to have duvet bedding. The breakfast was convenient.

Manager is a nightmare, this hotel is horrible. I had someone come to my door to drive to dinner and received a call while he was here mentioning that I could not have any visitors and he must leave within 5 minutes. I was told that "other" hotels allow visitors as if I was doing something illegal. The treatment here is horrific!

I have stayed at other Best Westerns across the country in the past, and have had an great experience, nothing 5 star of course, but a nice hotel with your needs met. This hotel made me feel like an inconvenience. Room service you have to fight to not visit the room. If you *turn them away* someone will call you and ask why.

I will never stay at this hotel again, and have filed a complaint against the property with corporate.

I disliked having to ask the front desk to turn the hot tub on each time. The front door did not close easy, a light was burnt out, and the air conditioner didn't work well. I liked that they had a tanning light and were knowledgeable about the area.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Best Western Woodland Hills.
I might recommend it to friends.

This is the worst motel experience one can have! It was noisy on busy Ventura Blvd. They had dirty rooms and common areas. Construction at the hotel started at 7 am and went on all day.

I am not likely to return to the Best Western Woodland Hills.
I would not recommend it to friends.

26 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business

When I pay for a room I should be able to stay in it and not be asked to check out each day for maid's service, until and only if I am ready to. This is a violation of my privacy and frankly bad service. The manager also lied to get me out of the room earlier by telling me that the maids were gone by 2 p.m. One day I arrived back at 5 in the afternoon and see that the maids are still cleaning rooms. Then the next day, I see this again. Keeping your customers happy is not inconveniencing them in such a manner.

I also should not be given the 3rd degree about whether I am going to have anyone visit me in my room. Visitors were strictly not allowed, which I have never seen anywhere else I have stayed. I was asked 3 times upon checking in, as if my first answer was not believed or trusted. I was also asked 3 times whether I had a pet, which I do not. The most obnoxious thing was being rung in my room at 11:30 to make sure I would get out for maid's service. I was told it was required, which I was not told when I first checked in. I was basically treated like I had to be watched and was doing something wrong.

I was told by the manager because the owners had spent so much money on the place and were remodeling and all, that they needed to be careful about damage and such. I say, tough beans. If you have to be as paranoid as this, that you alienate customers permanently , than you need to run a different type of business as this is not for you. I will make sure every person I know in the area and this includes hundreds of business associates that pass through all year, know not to stay here ever.

I am not likely to return to the Best Western Woodland Hills.
I would not recommend it to friends.
