I stayed at this hotel while moving my daughter into Barry University. While parked in the hotel parking lot, my rental car driver's side window was smashed in and thieves stole belongings in the vehicle. The alarm went off all night to the point that the battery went dead. I asked for the room to be comp'd given the horrible experience and the fact that obviously there was no regard for the guest's vehicles - in addition to the fact that between my deductible and loss of personal belongs I was out about $1500. I was told by corporate that the hotel had security and no suspicious activity occured, nor any car alarms went off. The battery was dead from the alarm going off all night - yet I was never notified. THERE WAS NO SECUIRTY AND THEY LIED rather than refund me a $90 stay. I travel for work and I'm as disgusted with corporate as I am this hotel. I am canceling my account with Best Western and telling everybody what poor customer service they have. Obviously this is a VERY UNSAFE hotel and your personal belongings, as well as your personal safety are not worth the discounted rate to stay at this hotel. Stay somewhere where they care about your buisness.

I checked into room #101 and the smell of urine was overpowering. I was told to check room #213, and the smell of mildew was very strong.
I finally settled for room #413. After 5 minutes working in the corner near the sliding glass door, I realized that someone or something had urinated in that corner of the room.
I complained to the front desk and was told that I had accepted room #413,
so I couldn't be moved. I called Best Western's 800 number and was told that all Best Western franchisees sign a clause in their agreements that says that they must either move me to another room if I request it, or move me to another Best Western if I request it, or move me to another hotel brand if I request that. I called the front desk and told them what I was told by Best Western at the 800 #.
Lo and behold I was transferred to a clean smelling room (#501) and the
lady at the front desk even volunteered an apology without my even asking for one, I think that the people at customer service at the 800 # had already contacted her.
So the hotel gets a "1" from me for everything that they put me through.

I stayed here three nights. In my last day, I heard a guy screaming asking for help. He fell in his bathtub. I called front desk saying that a person needs help in the next room and told them what I heard. I went back and asked the injured person if he was fine? After few minutes no one from the hotel appeared, so I went back to his room and talk trough his door. Finally, after almost 10 minutes someone from the hotel showed up. I met the injured person after few minutes and his back was bruise, he was around 70 year old man. He thanked me and told me that the hotel person told hi, Be careful next time. I was shocked.
They didn't tell him to go and check to a near hospital or call 911. Nothing.
He asked me if I can bring him some ice because he didn't want to deal with the hotel personnel any more and I didn't blame him.
I met the manager in the afternoon and asked me. "So, you heard the guy? I said because his bathroom was next to my (just a wall between) Then, the manager told me that there was soap in the bathtub and it was the guys fault. The question was his fault or not, the hotel should provide him help when a guest has an accident.
At night I ask the front desk person for a bucket of ice while she was talking on the phone with her cousin. She said that I had one in my room. I replied to her that I gave it earlier to the injured guest and explain what happened. Then she started screaming and became rude and said that they don't have any buckets of ice available. She was really rude and the other person who was checking in was also shocked by her attitude.
I ask to speak with the manager and she keep screaming. Finally, the manager came and told me that they don't have any. I asked him and finally call the person in charge. It was almost 15 minutes since I asked for the bucket of ice. All I got as the bucket, no ice. I told the manager if some one can bring it to my room and he said No, because they don't give that service to their guest. He even told me that I have to wait for the bucket or they will not give it to me.
After all I went through, it would have been nice if he brought it himself to my room as a courtesy, but he refused.
Dont go to this hotel. You can have an accident and, believe it or not, nobody will help you. Management and personnel is rude. If you need something, no one will give it to you.
We were there for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. We were not there for vacation purposes and did not have the time or opportunity to change hotels. Every time we needed clean towels, or soap a trip had to be made to the desk. We...

We stayed at the Holiday Inn near the cruise port. This five-story hotel was undergoing renovations at the time, so I hope by now it has become a more presentable place than it was when we stayed here before.
