Dirty, Rude and Unprofessional – Posted Mar 11, 2008

Horrible
35 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

This is the worst customer service experience I have had ANYWHERE in the world. Run, do not walk away from this hotel.

A rude, unfriendly check in clerk dressed in sweat pants thought she was doing us a favor to confirm we had a reservation upon check in. The elevator was not working so we had to haul our luggage up the stairwell to the room ourselves. No assistance was offered. Paint and other painting supplies are stored in the stairwell. What happens if there is a fire? There were pubic hairs all over the bathroom. Dogs are allowed to have breakfast with you when staying with guests. What I think was a maid opened our door at 9am and announced she needed our sheets because she had "things to do".

When confronted about these situations, the interim manager said WE were being rude. She was not concerned about our complaints and said we were not invited to stay another night.

Wow. Like we wanted to.

A poor excuse for hotel management – Posted Mar 25, 2007

Horrible
30 year old male with a luxury budget

My family recently stayed two nights at this hotel. We were first off run out of our room due to ant bites on my daughter.

After five days had passed, we noticed an unfamiliar debit to my wife’s checking account. We then checked with the bank and found that they were responsible. So in order to find out what the reason was without seeking our attorney's choice of action we drove to the hotel to try and enlighten ourselves on the matter. When the attendant told us we were charged $.00 dollars for a smoking deposit, we were floored.

My wife is eight months pregnant, we have a three year old child with us, and we are both dead against smoking cigarettes due to deaths in our families caused by lung cancer.

To top it all, the hotel manager was very unprofessional and went as far as to curse at my wife and myself in front of my three year old child, and then refer to us as liars and then challenge me to a fight in the parking lot. This ignorant choice he made should be considered by upper management, because I will stop at nothing to have this individual removed from his position and possibly further.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and see the service and definitely the hospitality at an all time low.

Mediocre

The popcorn machine was empty. The pool was shut down.

I am not likely to return to the Best Western Winder Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The Comfort Inn is a great hotel, excellent service. Room was very clean and felt like home. Fitness center was a joke, but I didn't expect much anyways.
