I booked it, although it was a little expensive, and a little far from Baylor University (4 miles) because it promised high-speed internet, and I had a great experience with Best Western in Fort Worth. Well, this was horrible.
The room itself was dingy, and it looked old. I called ahead to confirm the "high speed internet" and was assured that it worked. I got there and their internet wasn't working. The guy assured me that it was, even offered to tinker with my laptop since it was my laptop's fault. He said that hp was crap but he could fix it! He gave me another room with 'better WiFi reception' and it still didn't work.
I finally gave up. I needed the internet to get my work done after my conference was over, and it was a deal breaker.
When I asked for a refund, he refused. At first he said that refunds weren't possible. I said I'll call Best Western and he retorted "I'll charge you only $20 if you don't call Best Western, but otherwise I'll charge you the full rate of $70." He blackmailed me into giving him $20 for a room I didn't even occupy, for services I never received and for service that was extremely horrible.
Do not go to this hotel. The owner is extremely rude, and will blackmail you into giving him money.
