I stayed here on one of my trips through California. It is a hotel that is reasonable, but provides you a nice feel of the Tahoe lifestyle. There is a nice outdoor pool with a snack stand. It is also right on the Lake, so it is good for swimming. (WARNING: The lake is extremely cold, not like lakes in my home state of Minnesota, or the ocean. I almost froze to death. Of course, I also contracted Pneumonia and Scarlet Fever as a child. I would have been dead of childhood illness 100 years ago.) The rooms are nice. I also remember the on-site restaurant fondly- Cozy, well-priced, with great food and a kind of rustic ambiance. I would say this hotel is one of the value leaders of the Tahoe area.
Lake Tahoe is a beautiful, amazing body of water. You have to see it at least once, and this is a great place to stay!
