Ok so it is NOT on the lake. That's why the rates are great! The room was very nice, clean, & new carpet on the floor (probably recently renovated). It's about 2 blocks from the lake & there are lots of public access beaches. The Hot Tub was great. The pool at 11pm was cloudy. Too many kids all day? Too long between cleaning? Nice temperature, but not for me. Breakfast was fine. Auto Waffle maker probably needs replacing, they were not getting brown... just rare. But again, clean! People who worked there were all very customer oriented & nice. "small town friendly". Mackinaw is a tourist destination. The island is a boat ride away & the "Big Mac" bridge towers over the town. Lots of history, FUDGE!!!! & places to part with $. BUT this BW Motel is a hidden gem on old US 31.

This was a trip just for fun at a nice location. The rooms were probably overpriced - but it was a holiday. It had a nice breakfast and pool. The desk staff was very helpful on goings-on in town.
