Horrible
Ok, the room was a nice size and appeared clean. BUT, we were kept awake by rowdy students running through the hallway and banging on doors until 4 AM. Three calls to the Front Desk after midnight did not stop quiet the noise. I was told that I...

The WORST HOTEL in my entire travels. This is a more of a motel than a hotel...i think even motels have higher standards. I reserved a room for 5 nights while on vacation with my daughter.
First it turns out the hotel has a very poor "Very Low" signal strength for wireless internet network, though they claim they have free wireless! For a web surfer, it's down right pathetic. Upon requesting them as to why they advertised having free Wi-Fi, they told me to call the wireless provider, SpeedLinks. This turned out to be an adult hot line. Informing them, they told me they could not do anything about it and gave me another number to try. I finally reached SpeedLinks but their efforts still yielded "Very Low" signal strength. Mind you my room was a corner from the wireless unit control.
The water in the room was cold. I requested them to look into it on Wednesday night, after my arrival, and they came to fix the water on Monday, the following week. By then I had already packed my stuff and ready to go to another hotel. Their way of fixing the water was...the sink water was hot but shower was cold. That was good enough, for them. Come Tuesday morning when I was ready to leave, another maintenance guy came in and fixed the shower. So I took my last shower with them and left the hotel.
The night before my departure, my daughter brought in food from the diner restaurant we had had for dinner. She placed the food next to the hotel phone and in the morning we woke up to find ants all over the phone desk, on the floor and worst, they had found their way up on the bed. At that moment, I knew my stay with this hotel was over.
At the time of checkout, the hotel manager had no respect for me as a customer and that prompted me to send in a review.

Good: location is good. walking distance to major shopping malls and nice restaurants. parking is never a problem.
Bad: towels are so thin and I recommend that they at least use a fabric softener. water in the shower takes a long time to get warm, occasionally, it didn't get warm at all. on my first day, i was able to hook to their internet but there was no internet connection for 2 days and until i left the hotel, it still wasn't working.

We stayed May 2-6,2007. Hotel personnels at the front desk were nice and accommodating. It is quite near the Edison train station by cab, plus its proximity to the Pathmark and Target supermarts and several number of restaurants help make it an ideal place to stay. Maybe the hotel could find a way to add elevators for us travellers with big luggages. Most of all, room conditions are not very inviting. Furnitures are sort of rundown and the room has a drab feel to it. I'd suggest hiring a designer to make it more vibrant. In spite of these, I still think its a place worth staying.

The location was busy. The room was very neat and so was the entire building. We only stayed one night so I did not get to look around a lot. There was a gym but I did not go it but I saw people working out and it looked nice. The only thing that bothered me was that the clicker to the TV did not work. There was used soap in the bathroom. But I would stay there again.
I am very likely
to return to the Best Western The Garden Executive Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
