The hotel was clean, comfortable, spacious, recently updated, great view and good continental breakfast for our family (2 small children included). Would love to stay here again in the future!!
We had made reservations to this hotel which we has to cancel due to Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. We gave a 24 hour notice of cancellation but the manager stated that he did not care and there would be no refunds and he did not offer an alternate date
We were scheduled to visit this hotel for the nights of Sept 11th - 13th and this reservation was secured with a credit card. However, due to Hurricane Gustav and impending Hurricane Ike; we had to cancel our vacation. We gave a 24 hour notice for ...

After a 7 night stay at this hotel I was charged 19.39 for what they claimed was a lost plastic liner to their ice bucket. The hotel owner refused to refund the charges even though I assured him that I had not removed the ice bucket or the liner from the room. I complained to the Best WEstern headquarters and was told all they could do was contact the hotel with my complaint. The hotel sent a letter refusing my request for a refund. Best Western told me there was nothing they could do about my problem. I am angry to be called a lier and would never stay at this unfriendly hotel again!
This is the best motel we've ever seen! The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. You are in the heart of the Rockies, and you are close to the national park and Estes Park shops. The service was friendly and helpful &...

Beware customers- Doing an antique show in Estes Park in May of 2008, we selected the Best Western Silver Saddle. The hotel was terrific in terms of room and breakfast. We encounted two instances however of extra costs which is why I'm writing this negative review and warning potential customers of this hotel. We had made a reservation in advance for two nights and decided we would like to stay an additional night. When
informing the desk clerk upon arrival we were told that to stay an additional night would require a room upgrade. I asked why we could not retain our room at the rate given for two nights and take another room for the added night. The clerk said that management did not like guests to change rooms.
So this required us to pay an additional $20 per night resulting in a $40 addition in cost I was not expecting. Upon checking out, I simply thought I would be turning in my keys and getting a receipt. I was informed that I owed $36.25 in phone charges. I was baffled as I had used my own pre-paid phone card to make a call at the hotel. I was told that their hotel charged the customer if you made a phone call over 30 minutes.
I was charged $36.25 for being on the phone 22:20 minutes longer than allowed, even though I used my own pre-paid phone card. I was told the rule was in their directory. So, if you decide upon this hotel, do read the directory so you are not charged for something at the end of your stay that you are not expecting. I had no idea I would be charged for using
the phone when using my own phone card! I did make a complaint to Best Western, but nothing really transpired from the contact so beware of this hotel in regards to overcharging.

Horrible
My husband and I booked this hotel for my daughter's honeymoon as a gift. We then called and spoke directly to the hotel so there would be no surprises. We had paid for the whole thing up front.
Apparently an associate communicated improper...
