male with an economy budget, traveling for business
I've stayed at this hotel for over 2 months combined in the last year. Free internet, breakfast, cable, and parking along with a great price make it worth it. The big issue is the staff, They just don't care, don't expect help with towels, extra bed, etc. If you can live with that it's worth it.
male with an economy budget, traveling for leisure
I initially was there for three days and added two more. It was perfectly fine. The staff was courteous and directly across from the New Jersey Performing Arts Complex. The area offers little more than that but my experiece was terrific and I would stay again should my travels bring me to Newark.

Good
Robert Treat Hotel is a fine place to stay. The hotel has top notch banquet facilities and offers fair rates for food and health club services. There are also nearby attractions like NJ PAC.

Horrible
People at the front desk were rude. No shuttle pick up at the Newark airport as promsied. Perhaps I would have had a better experience if I didn't speak English.
