47 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The man in the office in the evenings was very quiet, unhelpful, and unfriendly. The breakfast was not as good as we expected it to be. The rooms were much smaller than we expected based on pictures we had seen online. All doors are outside and there is no elevator to the 3rd floor where we stayed. The ice machines were broken down everywhere except the 3rd floor. Our biggest disappointment of all was that the pool was closed during our stay for painting. We were not informed of that fact until we arrived with our children who were extremely disappointed. The pool/spa was one of the reasons we booked there. Since it was something that needed to be scheduled I think they should let people know when they book. I even called the day before we left and asked about the pool hours and she told the times with no warning of closure. That's dishonest. Finally, the couch hide-a-bed was the worst I have ever seen in my 47 years of life! It felt like a wire mesh mattress with a sheet over it - awful!

The hotel is very close to the convention center. It has nice pool and hot tub and a nice breakfast included.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Best Western Raffles Inn.
I might recommend it to friends.

The extra side bedroom was unexpected and very welcome. My wife and I travel with four children and the room was perfect for accommodating the space and privacy our family appreciates. It was a great stay! The hotel's proximity to Disneyland played a major factor in our decision to stay.

I am very likely to return to the Best Western Raffles Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

49 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Everything was great up until check out. We used a check card for check in and even though I painstakingly explained that the original amount was pre-approved (as they do when you first check in), and had already posted to my account (I had done my internet banking in the room before going to the office) due to the fact that check cards post quicker than credit cards (our stay was for 9 days), they still charged us a second time.

To this date, 7/19/06, we have not received a credit back to our account. The manager seems to be at lunch or in meetings every time we call and when we began getting upset, they said to let Best Western handle the matter. This, after sending them my bank statement showing the deductions! Funny, when I went into the office to extend our stay by 3 days, I nosily read a letter lying on the counter and it was from a person dealing with the same issue. That is why I checked my account before going to the office.

It's a great place, just watch for the fraudulent charges.

I am not likely to return to the Best Western Raffles Inn.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Portland, OR - Posted Nov 4, 05
43 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I did not like that the hotel did not have its own shuttle service to Disneyland. We had to pay for an independent shuttle service. The parking spaces were small and not plentiful enough. I liked the complimentary breakfast, but the breakfast room was awfully crowded. I liked the double sink and the in-room refrigerator. The staff was polite and knowledgeable.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Best Western Raffles Inn.
I might recommend it to friends.
