This is a brand new hotel and, therefore, clean and in good condition. I stayed a total of 6 nights and the breakfast staff do like to keep a constant eye on guests so people will not walk out with bananas nor coffee. The coffee cups are tiny and lids are not provided either, I guess to make it more difficult to 'steal' coffee. I was pleasantly surprised there was a Belgian waffle maker for the continental breakfast, but noticed it had strangely disappeared Sat and Sun.
I had made my reservation via the hotel's website - 1 basic room with a king bed for $557.60 + $54.09 tax for a total of $611.69. I needed to change to a basic room with 2 queen beds which was the exact same rate on the Internet, but could not change it via the website. I called the reservations number and told them I wanted to change the number of beds and they quoted me a higher rate than the original. I asked if I could have the same rate and she said, "yes" and told me my credit card would be changed $612. It wasn't until after I checked in that I noticed the $612 was PRE-tax now, so my total had gone up to $671. The manager, who I found out later was the owner, made some calls after I gave him my reservation confirmations but said there was nothing he could do. I called Best Western customer service then and was asked if I had spoken to the owner about this, because there was nothing they could do? They did offer me 1000 points, worth $100, to my Gold Crown Club Card. I reluctantly agreed but when I returned from my trip, I looked to see what 1000 points could buy and the answer is nothing. It requires 6,250 points just to get a $25 gift card! This means my 1000 points, which they said was worth $100, is really worth $4.
I have emailed BW customer service since then to be told that the issue has been "resolved" and they would send me a $25 BW travel card, which I told them I did not want since I wouldn''t stay in any Best Western again.
There are plenty of hotels in Seekonk and I urge you to choose a different one to stay.
