Overlooking the beach and the Bay of Angels, this hotel with the Belle Epoque façade has stood on the Promenade des Anglais since 1840. The Messéna Art and History Museum is next door. The hotel offers access to a private section of beach as well as alfresco dining at a restaurant with sea views and a menu that mixes traditional Mediterranean items with Asian-influenced dishes. The 125 guestrooms, some with sea views and all with safes, minibars, and private bathrooms, are individually designed. Tied-back curtains frame tall windows equipped with roll-down sunscreens. This 19th-century hotel with the white Belle Epoque façade was one of the first to be built along the famed Promenade des Anglais. One of its strongest attractions is the décor of the interior public spaces, many of which have been faithfully maintained to their original splendor. The hotel also offers a restaurant and terrace on the front of the property, both with outside areas for dining alongside the Promenade. This six-story hotel has 125 soundproofed guestrooms. All are individually designed and feature antique-style décor with armchairs and tied-back curtains framing tall windows. White-metal sunscreens can be rolled down on the outside of the windows. Built-in closets with mirrored sliding doors have small safes with combination locks. And tiled, private bathrooms include hair dryers, shower/tub combinations, and overhead spotlights.

This place is the worst place we have ever stayed in. It was dirty, old and falling apart. Your best bet is to keep driving and search for another place. This place needs much work and many updated features to bring it up to speed with other 4 stars hotels.
I stayed in a room on the 6th floor, with backyard view and airconditionning noise, and when I asked for a better room I visited different floors which are very much better but with an extra per night... avoid west end hotel.
