34 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
On May 11th I checked into the hotel and I didn't no what to expect. I was from Delaware and I never traveled by myself with 2 kids. The check-in was easy no more than 10mins tops. Before I left that lobby, Sandra Pating at the tickets counter helped me in getting tickets to magic kingdom. I would like to give her a big shout out for Fawn Long, from Delaware. YOU GO GIRL, AND THANK YOU.... my kids had a hell of a time there. Everyone did a great job, of making my vacation better than ever. AND I WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.....
GOD BLESS EVERYONE OF YOU........
It was truely a home away from home.

So I'm actually writing this review on the second to last night of our vacation at this exact hotel. This place is just as I said everything you need. A few extras nice Hot tub sits 8+ always popular. The pool(s) 1 very large pool not heated although I was told it was at one time. Probable cost to much now with the cost of propane these days. Kiddie pool is pretty large too. just shallow as expected. We have the family suite. I wouldn't call it a suite although it has 2 bedrooms ( the first is a double bed, kitchenette, microwave, small fridge, small sink, coffee maker, TV open the door to outside first floor and your at the pool kind of scary with young kids) The second room has a king bed with closet and attached bathroom large, with tub. Always kept clean by great staff I rarely see. Tv's are wierd, didn't work well more channels in the kids room, our room had the access to nintendo? The ninetendo was for the kids which cost extra $5.95 kids. not available in their room???? Door on our room king size bed good idea but again door to outside access is pool side hard to safely keep in closed.
When we called about the TV issues we got immediate attention a new remote for the kids tv. We wanted to watch the first SNL since the writters strike was over and couldn't get local NBC on our TV. We had to turn it on in the kids room and then crane our necks into their room see it on their TV.
I gave up and went to bed. We have no cable TV at home in fact we are basically electronic free. no game systems I do have a PC. So vacation is fun for us to watch Disney channel or discovery thats why it was a big deal for us. We found things to watch. The best extra is wireless internet access so I can map quest everywhere we want to go. We can also llok for Gluten free restaurants. Music store for Hubby. I must insist bring your wireless laptop as I did so you can use this. slow connection but once your on it's fine. Great location, could be bad if there was anything use going on at the convention right down a few blocks. I think we have done enough Disney for quite awhile now in my opinion my kids 3 & 6 year olds still too young for the all event that Disney takes to get through. It would have been fine if we stayed on property we could have rested in between. to much hassle to leave to our hotel and go back. Enough said! I would come back if I had too but I rather try something with a little more. indoor heated pool it February and it's 4o degrees today! yikes. again inside Disney.

We were vey unhappy with out stay at best western plaza international. The fixtures in the room need repair, the tv was not working properly, the foors and rugs were very dirty, the shuttle service was late and the people at the front desk were not very welcoming and even had a argument in front of guests.

As I pulled upto the motel, the sign read "Come enjoy our hospitality and low rates." If this is what they call hospitality, they are messed up. As I stood in line at check-in for 45 minutes, I was next. The woman at the desk was a b***h. She argued with me saying that I didn't have a reservation. After about another 30 minutes, she found the reservation but it was wrong. I booked through AAA for a rate of 76.95 a night. She ended up charging me $111.95 a night. I was very mad, but everything else was booked up.
My room felt like a jail cell. The window had a lot of the glass busted out with wood over them and the room was tiny. I hated it.
I couldn't sleep at all, people were drag racing nearby in the parking lot. I-4 was loud and to close, and I felt very unsafe.
I am
not likely
to return to the Best Western Plaza International.
I
would not recommend it to
friends.
