The management is rude beyond belief. The game room smells like a sewer, landscaping is not kept up, all furniture is scuffed, and very old appearing. some airconditioners do not work. Also they don't think that housekeeping is needed if you are staying more than one day.
The room key "cards" never worked right. Every time we needed into an
entrance or into our room, my husband would have to leave me standing in
the hall or outside in the wind so that he could run to the lobby and
have the card re-keyed. Each time, no one asked for an ID, so anyone
could have been getting into our room.
Also, the tub in the bathroom area is very slippery and no bath mat was
provided. I fell in the tub this morning trying to take a shower. Now,
my upper left leg is very sore and made my return trip home very
uncomfortable. I had to lay down the entire 10 hour trip home.
My husband asked to speak to a manager last night, but the night clerk
could hardly speak English. This morning at 7:15AM when we checked out,
my husband asked to speak to a manager, but he was told there is not
one on duty until 10AM. We went ahead and paid our bill, but we feel we
deserve a full refund.
I was still in pain and tried to contact the manager/owner. She hung up on me. I called back. She told me to stop harassing her and not to call her hotel again.

We had our reunion at this facility last weekend. Everything was fine and the meeting room was adequate for the number of family who attended. Some of our grandchildren swam in the pool. Fortunately, I being the grandmother to some of them, I did not have to spend much time in the pool room. It really would be much better if they had exhaust fans installed to draw out the pungent smell in there, and they are desperately in need of acoustics. So many children screaming makes it unpleasant to sit and watch them.

The Best Western hotels have always provided consistent quality and this one was no exception. The room was clean and it had everything we needed. The breakfast bar saved us from having to take all the kids to a restaurant and it was great because it was included with the hotel charge. We always stay at Best Western hotels when we travel.
I am very likely
to return to the Best Western Palms Hotel & Suites.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
Spa tub did not work in room, but service, cleanliness and breakfast were great! The location is accessible to the loop and most activities in the Lubbock area.

Not only were we lied to by several members of the staff at the Best Western Palms Hotel & Suites, but our customer service needs were not at all met, and we were charged more than authorized. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and highly recommend staying at a more comfortable hotel.
