This is a good, modern hotel, located fairly near to many of Orlando's attractions. The hotel offers transportation to quite a few theme parks and there is also a desk where you can buy tickets before you go. The rooms are all well equipped, spacious and clean and some come with a fridge and microwave, which comes in very handy, especially during the hot weather! There is a wide choice of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel but the hotel's bar/restaurant and deli do good food too, although a little on the pricey side. The pool area is clean and pleasant and the staff are really helpful with any queries or problems too.

Mediocre
The management staff needs to brush up on their customer service skills. The person I dealt with regarding an issue I had was unprofessional. The hotel is old but it holds up.

18 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Some friends and our parents went on a senior trip here in May-June of 2006. We got there at check in time and had paid in advance for luxury suites.
When we arrived we were told that our rooms had not been checked out of yet by the previous guests whose stay was over, and that we were going to have to be moved to another room because nothing could be done about it. We were very irritated, but we are southern and so we politely accepted lower class rooms while we were told that the money of extra cost for the luxury suites would be refunded to us in checks. But I digress.
We had bought flex tickets for eight people. One ticket was for two adults and two children. We were told that the tickets were only eligible for and adult and one child, by the voucher clerk. We argued for a few minutes with her until we got the manager involved and we of course were right, and she was wrong. Well, obviously she didn't like being wrong and she was very rude to us and to her boss, the shift manager. The staff was difficult, irritable, rude, impatient and very hard to tolerate when have just paid someone almost $2000 for a six day trip.
The rooms (we were moved to- never got a refund in check cash or anything which we were promised) were nasty and smelled awful. Paint came off the wall and "Sharky's" lounge was terrible! The bathrooms were small and awkward. The elevators were slow, if not broken, and the only thing I enjoyed about the trip was the theme parks themselves.
Now if any of you are planning to stay in Orlando at this hotel, I would read my review and take my word it is nothing but one hassle after another. Believe me, I love good service that I have paid for and am always the first person to say Thank you or reward someone with good feedback, but I am sorry, not this time, not in this case. This is the worst hotel I have ever visited and I make it a point to warn others not to pay good money for such poor service.
