Official Hotel Information
43 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Aside from the snack kitchen and free full breakfast buffet, the hotel staff were entirely accommodating and helped to make our stay very pleasant. The free shuttle service to the Metro was a great service as well. This was our second time at this hotel and our third time staying in the DC area within the past year. We made the mistake of staying elsewhere last time but came back here because of the relaxed, comfortable, non-pretentious experience.

THis hotel is a good value for the money, if you don't mind not having the best bed and the newest bath fixtures. The bed comfort is somewhat lacking if you're used to the pillow-tops at Hilton, but I have a bad back and survived it. The showers...

I stayed at the BW Old Colony Inn for a week and I thought it was great. It's about a mile's walk from King Street in Old Town Alexandria, and about the same (I think) from the closest Metro station. I enjoyed walking everywhere and felt safe, but...

Reasonably close to old town Alexandria.“I chose it because of those in the area we wanted to visit; it was the only one to specify in the room availability, the smoking preference. I don't know if that meant that the others with availability did...
