Best Western Old Colony Inn Hotel

There was renovation going on on the same floor. I was given a smoking room, regardless of my request. There were numerous problems with my room key.

Our stay at Best western in Alexandria VA was great. The location was great and easy to get around. The people were very friendly and helpful. My room and staff were great. I will stay there again when I was in Virginia.

The thermostat did not work. The room was 90+ degrees on check in. When I told them, they told me to open the windows. I had to demand a new room. The rate I reserved is not what they had me down for.

I was only there for one night, but the room was fairly large and the bathroom was very clean. The bed could have been more comfortable.

The check in staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. We did arrive early (11 AM when check in was 1 PM) but I had called in advance to ask for early check in (our flight had arrived at 5 AM). We found it hard to believe that no one in the hotel had checked out by 11 AM but they refused to even check if housekeeping had cleaned any rooms. Finally they relented and found a room for us to use.
