Very comfortable hotel. Great breakfast. Only cooked one for 4 weeks in the USA!! Our Shuttle driver was extremely helpful and courteous. Location not great unless you have vehicle.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Best Western Newark Airport West.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

My 2 night stay at the hotel was fine and convenient since I wanted to visit New York city. The hotel shuttle was free and very helpful to get to and from Penn station, New Jersey. I did not know that I could have called the hotel shuttle when my flight landed at Newark, so that was a pretty expensive cab ride because the driver did not know the route to the hotel. Overall, if you are looking for inexpensive and clean room for a short stay, the hotel is just fine. Sure, the hotel surroundings could be nicer but I wasn't looking for a resort hotel.

It was clean, and provided what we needed. However little information was provided regarding the airport shuttle and we wasted 20 dollars on a taxi. I also couldn't find any info from the email showing a direct phone number that I could have used to find out about the shuttle.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable large room. Perfect for an airport stopover. However...we did not get our 5.30 am wakeup call, which made for rather a rush for our transatlantic flight!!

Okay
The location of this hotel is its biggest strength, and downfall. You're just minutes from the airport, but it's very industrial, a little intimidating. The inside of the hotel is nice, and the room we stayed in had a large jacuzzi tub big enough...

Mediocre
I had made a reservation 2 1/2 weeks in advance and they messed it up. I got a room with only one bed, whereas I already paid for a room with 2. They basically gave me a run-around in terms of a promised price adjustment and I am still trying to...

Good
Traveling with a group of 15 in eight rooms. All agreed the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the front desk was friendly and courteous. We would be happy to stay here again.

Bed linens in my opinion had not been changed from previous guests. Drapes smelled of tobacco in the non smoking rooms. Carpets in hallways of hotel smelled musty and damp. Food scattered all over the floor in the breakfast area and nobody bothered to clean it up. Free shuttle to and from EWR was a rusty old van with no windows. In a very remote scary area that over looks a builders yard. Paid cash for the shuttle to Penn Station and was also charged on my credit card, we called the hotel after the bill and this has since been rectified. This is by far one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.
