The hotel room was clean and the Southwestern decor was fine. The staff was friendly. We had a king room and it was spacious. Bathrooms were in need of a remodel, not up to Bestwestern standards. Lighting was dim in the rooms. The grounds are mos

Good
We ordered jalapeno poppers, quesadillas, and nachos supreme. They were all delicious and served with huge proportions. Everthing tasted so homemade. The prices are pretty reasonable.
I loved my stay at the Mission Inn.

This place doesn't even rate a "1".
My companion booked us into this place for 4 nights on a business trip. The first morning, he noticed it took about 10 minutes for the tub to drain after his shower. The problem was reported to front desk.
That evening, we were told something in the bathroom had broken. We were moved into room next door. That tub also drained very slowly. The problem was reported to front desk.
I saw maintenance man later that morning and I was told there was problem with plumbing due to age of building. We awoke the next morning to a horrid smell. When I went into the bathroom there was at least 8" of raw sewage in the tub! The front desk was called. I'm asthmatic. The stench caused me have an asthma attack/severe sore throat.
We were told we could be moved into another room, but we'd have to go to desk for key. They refused to send a key with an employee. In frustration and anger, I called the police but I was told it was a civil matter.
We had to throw on some clothing, pack, and take everything downstairs to another room, which was a "suite". We were late for a meeting and I was ill most of morning. My companion was assured by front desk staff there would be compensation for all the problems. The "compensation" was $5/night and $25 off the cost of the "suite"! I'll never stay at a Best Western again.

This is a Best Western, and was a very popular place in its prime, and is now too, actually! It has recently been renovated and the rooms are spacious, well equipped, and colorful. The beds are new, pillows fluffy and comfortable, the decor is Spanish/Mexican which I liked very much. My room had a big thick wooden dresser, chairs and table, etc. Because it's an older Motel, it has things the new hotel/motels don't, like charm! The building was in a horseshoe shape so the grounds are in the center. The pool was large, clean and well maintained. The grassy area had a shuffle board and horseshoes which brought back warm memories of when I traveled with my folks. The walls were thick and the rooms were quiet! The staff was friendly and the amenities plentiful. I would stay here again without hesitation.
