Best Western Mccarran Inn Hotel

We booked a high school group at the BW McCarran Inn and received a great rate ($67/room). When we first walked in I saw a lot of teenagers in the lobby and hallways and thought, "great- we're not going to get any sleep for the next two nights". Boy, was I wrong. We were on the bottom floor but we heard nothing at night. No stomping overhead and no noise from the neighboring rooms. The walls are obviously well insulated. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good- pastries and muffins (storebought), cold cereals, coffee and hot water for tea, oatmeal, or hot chocolate, bagels, french toast and waffles for the toaster, juices, chocolate milk, and milk. The breakfast area was kept clean and well-stocked.

We didn't use the pool but other guests seemed to be having a fun time in it. I didn't see a fitness center on the hotel map.

Be aware that Las Vegas has TERRIBLE tasting water. We bought a gallon of bottled water and drank it during our stay because the tap water is so nasty. This is not a hotel problem, but a city-wide problem.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is comfortable, clean, and provided a great stay. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Las Vegas.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. Rooms are simple but clean and adequate: good mattresses! Breakfast: juice, coffee, muffins, French toast. Shuttle came each time we called either from the airport or the Strip. To accommodate our early departure, Jim, on his own, drove us to the airport, and he did it graciously. Free internet in the lobby enabled us to print our our boarding passes.

For the price it was excellent. Every morning there was a continental breakfast. The location was great.

It's on the flight path of the airport, but there's no sound proofing. Planes take off until 2 am and start at 6 am. The planes were so close that they set off car alarms in the parking lot. The staff was surly, and breakfast was not up to Best Western standards.

There was no hot water and no water in the pool. The hotel full of Brits and Canadians who did not seem to know better. A/C stopped at 2 am.

Avoid this place at all costs

The desk people were very helpful and accommodating. The reservations were made easily with nice people. The park and fly request was honored graciously.

This hotel made me feel important: I was treated with all the respect and all my questions and concerns were addressed in a friendly and caring manner.

I experienced no problems during any stays at the Best Western hotels, I would recommend them to anyone.
