Best Western Marietta Hotel - Page 1

We usually stay on Pike Street (where most of the motels are) when we visit Marietta. We stayed at this motel "off the beaten path" this time because it was close to a family event we were attending.

The room was designated non-smoking, but it did have a faint smoking odor. The room seemed a little cramped and the beds seemed smaller than in most motels. Also, we heard a lot of road noise at night because the hotel is located right off of Rt. 60 and our room was facing the road (it may be quieter toward the back of the motel).

However, the room was very clean and the motel staff was very helpful, efficient and friendly. They have a free continental breakfast with cereal, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, etc. Small pets are allowed at no extra charge (as long as they aren't left unattended to run amuck in the room) and the TV had much more than the usual limited channel selection. I thought the room was reasonably priced, too (they offer discounts for AAA, etc.) All in all, a good experience.

The Best Western hotel in Marietta was not very conveniently located when compared to the other hotels and amenities in town. My air conditioning did not work when I first got to my room, but that was easily remedied. It did not seem to have the amenities of other hotels, even Best Western hotels, like an ice machine and free breakfast. Upon check out, the front desk person was very friendly. The non-smoking floor had a lingering odor of stale smoke. All in all, I got what I paid for.

It was close to the area we were visiting: the Fenton Art Glass Anniversary celebration.

The front desk help was friendly. I arrived late at night and got up early to travel. The room was newly carpeted and everything was in working order. It was a nice stay.

The staff is very friendly. We go there every year.
