The Deschutes River, one of Oregon's most prolific trout streams flows through the heart of Jefferson County and lures thousands of anglers every year. Haystack Reservoir angling for 10-14 inch Rainbow Trout is fair, small numbers of 2-3 pound brown trout are present. Best Western has always proven to be adequate. The accommodations vary widely though. At the Inn at Face Rock in Bandon it was essentially a resort whereas the Rama Inn in Madras was just a room. Usually the rooms are clean, the bedding acceptable, and there are enough towels and a good supply of hot water. I feel safe when traveling alone if I stay at a Best Western.
The Best Western stay was a reasonable price, it was conveniently located so I could walk to a nice restaurant, it was close to the route I was traveling, and it had free breakfast foods and drinks so I did not have to go out of my way.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Best Western Madras Inn.
I might recommend it to friends.
