I found the reception upon entering rather cold as if the clerk was doing me a favor by allowing me to check in. I had to go back to the front desk after arrival because the room phone was not available and ask for service.

The hotel allows pets. On the Saturday evening that we were there, there was a lot of barking for ten minutes. Additionally, there is a main railroad line where freight trains run every half hour and because we were placed on the south side of the hotel it was quite noisy. The smoking rooms are adjacent to the non-smoking rooms which can be quite unpleasant. I could not recommend staying there to anyone.

It was noisy as it was right next to the NYC railroad.

I have a suggestion-fitted sheets! I also do not like having to chase down flies before retiring for the night. Finally, isn't cleaning of the room done daily? Why does the cleaning staff ask if you want the room cleaned??

One front desk staff provided excellent service. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely one night. At breakfast we had some problems. And the minor problem with the room was that they did not have a fitted sheet on the bed so it would come off if you moved.
