Best Western Lighthouse Hotel Hotel - Page 1

We were expecting a little more than what I got with this hotel. When we checked into the hotel things were going about what I expected. The staff was very nice and helpful upon check in, the shock however was when I got to my room. Got the ocean view (right on the beach) suite and when I opened the door my first appearance was this is nice. When I got into the room my expectations were dashed. The balcony facing the ocean was nothing, just a one foot area (if you can call it even 1 foot) that you could only stand on, no table or chair to sit down and look out over the ocean. The room was warm and wanted to cool it off only to find no air conditioning in the room (or any room in the hotel). The only way to keep the room cool was to keep the window open and the only one you could open was the sliding glass door. Not a very safe way to cool room when you leave or to sleep at night. Granted the nights were cool, but leaving the sliding door open to cool off the room was a little unsettling. Only one chair in the room and a love seat. The television was in need of repair because you couldn't hear the channel even with the volume turned all the way up. Did mention that to front desk, but nothing was done about it. Some channels would work properly (mostly the non-English channels), but the premium channel (HBO) didn't come in to watch at all. All in all for the money you spend of the ocean front room is not worth it. If I had to do it over wouldn't stay at this hotel, just not worth the value.

The location was spectacular with a sweeping view of the ocean. The room was quite comfortable. I had absolutely no problems. I recommend this place for everyone.

The hotel is wonderful, I stay there every time I go to San Francisco. I would not stay anywhere else, they have an excellent restaurant.

The ocean views were really impressive and all that they promised. The rooms were a little shabby, but it appeared they were undergoing renovation. The location was ideal, quiet, right on the beach, with restaurants close by. Overall a very enjoyable stay and the staff were very friendly.

This hotel made me feel excited: I was very thrilled by the majestic scenery, it was everything I had hoped for and more.
