Best Western Kings Inn Motel - Page 1

What is this world coming to!

Upon arriving in Vancouver to attend a function just off of Kingsway in Burnaby, we had stayed at the Best Western Kingsway Inn in past years, so of course chose to stay again because of quality, cleanliness and good service.

I do not believe in the credit world and do everything on a cash basis, upon arriving and paying cash for the room, the "front desk" attendant informed me that we needed to provide a room deposit on a "CREDIT CARD" I responded by telling him that we would give a "CASH" deposit for twice as much as the credit card deposit, he informed me that that would be unacceptable as they do not keep a lot of cash on hand?? And that in order to get a room, a credit card would be necessary. I find this way of business totally unacceptable, as do they not have a safe to keep cash on hand as well as all customer credit/debit card info. We offered him a $500.00 CASH deposit instead of a $200.00 credit card deposit and he refused.

We then drove down the road to a lovely, very welcoming RAMADA INN and did not require a credit card, and only a $200.00 cash deposit. We will never give any of our future business to any Best Western accommodation, and would strongly recommend any of the Ramada Inn chains as the quality and service was excellent.

The location in Burnaby was fairly close to the main attractions but access to and from the actual hotel parking lot was not convenient. Otherwise we enjoy all our Best Western hotel stays.
