Best Western Kings House Hotel - Page 1

Credit card machine not working causing delays. Key card machine not working. Manager had to let us into our room with a key, then we had to wait for a key card. Elderly couple in next room could not get their key card working. No water in swimming pool. Only cold cereal and broken bits of sweet rolls for breakfast, and no where to sit in the tiny room provided. Overpriced compared to several other Best Western inns that provided comfortable rooms, good pools for the grandchildren, good hot breakfasts and friendly service during the same trip. Find another motel.

I have always liked this Best Western hotel, but they had my reservation wrong and I was locked out of my room. When I had the card rekeyed, the clerk had me use my credit card to reinstate when I had already paid for the night. It took me two bill cycles to get it straightened out.

We've used it for years. I like the location.

Anybody looking to do the West Highland Way will be required to stay here due to its remote location. Look into getting a bus back to Bridge of Orchy for the night. Kings House is over priced and gives the most basic of service. My wife and I were basically ignored by the staff. The food was awful. £8 bought sausages on potato mash. Coming from NZ this was expensive and not worth £3. On return to Glasgow we found we had been charged a deposit and the full room rate. The deposit was 'accidentally' not returned.

I have spoken to many people who have stayed at Kings House and claim the same accident. The fact this place has a star rating is wrong. Do not stay here. It’s Scottish hospitality at its worst.

The room provided what I needed for the night.
