Horrible
I have stayed at the John Muir Inn twice over a 3 year period and both times, the room was over perfumed because of the previous smokers in the room. When we stayed in summer, 2005, the pool was worked and alot of fun. There was no internet...

It was so terrible that I had to leave the hotel early. I used smelly bathroom in the suite that I was in and I'm looking around and there a big blotch of human feces on the wall. I run out of the bathroom in disgust and I try to go to sleep. I wake up because the room was covered in air freshener scent and it gave me a terrible headache. I just had to leave the hotel early. I talked to the manager very politely and i said sir. I need to leave this hotel. He said that he would give me my money back if I would make the bed and that made me disgusted because they probably didn't change those sheets in about three years. I packed my stuff and went to the MT. Deablo hotel which was good for the night.

Everyone and everything was perfect. The staff helped me in many ways.
I went right in and my room was ready on time. The hotel was quiet, which is important since I work during the night. Check out was quick and easy without stress.
I am very likely
to return to the Best Western John Muir Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This place was great. the rooms were clean. the beds were comfortable. which is unusual with me because best western beds aren't always comfortable. the hotel had a great continental breakfast. they had make your own waffles. the waffles makers were user friendly. it was a little out of the way to visit Martinez but it is still worth it. it is the best place in town.

I got bedbugs in this hotel! There is no question that they were bedbugs and that I got them at the John Muir Lodge -- no question!
This hotel is run by people who have no understanding or respect for health laws. They turned the water off with no warning and I had to get ready for my meeting in the bathroom of the adjacent market!
They gave me a discount, but the bedbugs that I brought home have ruined my life for the past year and cost me more than $5,000 to control. And I still have them!

The hotel seemed a little run down. The wireless internet service did not work in our first room and they did offer us another room with a better signal. I paid a reasonable price.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Best Western John Muir Inn.
I would not recommend it to friends.
