Best Western Inn and Suites Midway Airport Hotel - Page 1

My husband and I checked into the hotel on the very cold evening of January 19, 2008. The heating system was very inadequate. The make-shift closet with the door off the hinge was a disturbing factor. We later discovered a arm on one of the chairs for the table was broken. The manager was notified, but we did not receive a return call, or a visit from him. A member of the wedding party is getting married in June and decided not to use this hotel for his guests after one night at this establishment. I would never recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very nice and the price was reasonable. My only dislike was the lack of shuttle service to Midway Airport.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Midway airport, restaurants and the traffic is not bad at all.

This Best Western offered the best price available for a hotel with breakfast within a reasonable distance to downtown Chicago. The only major issue was that the toilet in my room was stopped up when I entered the room, though it appeared clear, and when I went to the front desk for help all the desk clerk could do to help was offer a toilet plunger for me to use. I had expected the clerk to send or call someone to come take care of the problem.

There was nothing especially notable about this hotel. It's in a pretty good location, downtown is only about 20-40 minutes away depending on traffic. I was told by locals that going too far East wasn't too safe, though.
