Best Western Inn Columbia Hotel

I stayed during the Missouri State HS Wrestling Championships. Needless to say, the hotel was full of rowdy HS athletes and the management somehow kept the facility clean and quiet. The breakfast staff did an excellent job of ensuring that there was enough food for all, which was not easy considering the amount of teenage boys present.

The hotel is old and has a musty smell, it is time for some upgrades. Being priced at $80 a night was a little high, considering the condition of the hotel.

The hotel had a friendly and helpful staff. The place was quiet and comfortable.

Because it was under renovation, the hallways were not very inviting. The first room we had had a non functioning sink. The privacy was well respected. The free breakfast was sub par.

This hotel made me feel respected: Although I am fairly young, I was treated as any other guest would have been.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel location was easy to get to, close to many food establishments.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful with check in instructions and then again in the morning when I checked out!

I liked that the hotel management stuck to their word and did what they said they would do if certain hotel guests, a baseball team, did not quiet down and stop running in the halls and slamming doors when quiet hours went into effect. These people were disturbing the majority of the guests in the hotel and were prompting numerous complaints about the noise. These people were warned by hotel staff that they would be ejected from the hotel if they did not observe quiet hours, and they were. The rest of the hotel guests were very thankful that the staff stuck to their guns.

This hotel made me feel respected: They honored our feelings and those of the other guests.
