member icon Bed Bugs... Nasty Hotel/people/food

female with a moderate budget

This is a very nasty and unhealthy hotel. Management doesn't care, the front desk staff are ghetto and trifling. I had my bridal party stay there along with other guest of the wedding and we did not get into our rooms until 4:00 am the morning of the wedding after being there since 10:00 pm after the rehearsal, trying to get the rooms right. They mixed all the rooms up, then they sent two of the guest to rooms that other guest were already in asleep in the beds. To make a long story short. We did not have our bachelorette party, hair/nails did not get done, and to top all that off, we got up at 6:00 am anyhow to go each breakfast, and while there, my sister and I were summons to my 80 yr old mother and 83 year old blind father's room because they woke up in a bed full of chinches (bedbugs) that had bit and rashed them up through the short time they laid there. The room was infested. So bad, the staff didn't want to go in there to clean up the room. One employee had on gloves and had to literally bag up my parents night clothes and put them in a garbage bag, and all the clothes they had laid out on the bed. The hotel management from the bottom to the top did not care, they tried to blow it off. We waited for 4 hour for a GM or DM who ever she was to come to our room to rectify the situation. I was a nervous wreck, we all ended up in one room that we felt was a bit cleaner than the others (had 3 rooms) to try to get ready for the wedding. I was crying, my parents were crying, the bridesmaids were crying, it was a mess. We were hungry and they had the nerve to give us a gift certificate after we asked for food for my Father who was a Diabetic, and for the wedding party because we missed breakfast because of the incident. We ended up eating McDonald's. The wedding was suppose to start at 3:00 pm it didn't start until 4:30 pm and most of the guest were tired and hungry, they left right after the ceremony and didn't come to the reception that didn't start until about 5:45 pm. There was wasted food, wasted money. The only good thing that they offered us was not to pay for the rooms and the exit out of that hell hole of a hotel. What ever you do, don't use this hotel for a wedding, family reunion, or any other event. You will be embarrased, believe me. It was a disaster. We called the police also to make sure that this situation was documented, and that they couldn't say it never happened. True Story.... Do Not Use This Hotel!!!!

The hotel was good if you have time to enjoy it. High priced as far as I was concerned. We had a handicapped bathroom, which we were not asked if we wanted. Also, the handicapped shower stall was not installed properly. The only slant towards the drain was right at the drain. The shower curtain was not long enough either. The drain was partially clogged and when you ran the shower, you ended up flooding the whole bathroom. No one, whether handicapped or not is safe in this bathroom. I told the front desk about it the day I had the problem. When we came back to the room at the end of the day, there were still puddles of water in the bathroom. No one did anything about the problem.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Best Western Hotel Conference Center.
I might recommend it to friends.

THE GREYHOUND BUS AGENT DIDN'T TELL ANY ONE ABOUT GOING OVER TO BEST WESTERN TO PAY TEN DOLLARS FOR PARKING OVER 24 HOURS WHILE VELING FROM THE PLAZA.MY NAE IS ADAM ULYSSES SHULER ON FRIDAY NIGHT I WAS A PAID PASSENGER ON GREYHOUND BUS AT 840 PM THE BUS AGENT DIDNT NOTIFY ME TO PAY TEN DOLLARS AT BEST WESTERN HOTEL FOR PARKING OVER 24 HOURS. WHEN I RETURN TO PICKUP MY CAR IT WAS GONE , MY CAR THAT IS I TOLD THE GREYHOUND BUS AGENT THE ONLY THING SHE REPLIED IS THAT BEST WESTERN HAD MY CAR TOOD BUT WHY THE AGENT DIDNT KNOW TELL ME GO PAY A TEN TO BEST WESTERN HOTEL. THIS IS UNSATIFACTORY BOTH GREYHOUND AND BEST WESTERN SHOULD OF HANDLE THE MATTER IN A DIFFERENT WAY SINCE YOU DIDNT TELL THE CUSTOMER THE YOU SHOULDNT TOOD HIS OR HER CAR BECAUSE HE AGENT DIDNT DO HER JOB. ALSO BEST WESTERN HAD THE SIGN HIDDEN AND WHEN I CAME UP TO TALK TO THE YOUNG AND BESIDE THE BEST WESTERN DESK SHE TOLD ME WERE YOU A GUEST AT BEST WEST I TOLD HER NO I PARKED MY CAR IN THE FRONT OF THE GREYHOUND BUS STATION AND THE GREYHOUND BUS AGENT DIDNT NOTIFY ANYONE ON FRIDAY NIGHT TO COME TO BEST WESTERN TO PAY TEN DOLLARS A DAY FOR PARKING. SO PLEASE THE MATTER SHOULD BEEN HANDLE IN A DIFFERENT MATTER. ALSO THE BEST WESTERN AGENT HANDED ME THE NUMBER WHERE MY CAR WAS TOOD AND NOTHING ELSE AND LAUGH IN MY FACE JUST LIKE THE GREYHOUND BUS AGENT DID. IF WE ALL DO OUR JOBS RIGHT EVERY TIME NO ONE WILL WONT PAY 250.00 , BUT TEN DOLLARS FOR PARKING ONLY. ADAM ULYSSES SHULER. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW.MY AUNT DIED IN NEW YORK .

I appreciated the level of service and helpfulness that was delivered. For some reason, our reservation was messed up and we would have been overcharged. However, due to the astuteness of the young lady who handled everything, we were accommodated and helped through a situation that would have cost us much more.

This hotel made me feel important: They made us feel important by giving us attention and making us feel that we were the only clients they were serving. They took the time to deal with our problems.

I am very likely to return to the Best Western Hotel Conference Center.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
