We've always had good stays at Best Western. It is a bit pricier than some motels we have stayed in, but it is more consistent than some other motels (for instance Super 8 and Holiday Inn) which are sometimes quite nice and other times shabby.
This hotel made me feel secure: We were in an upstairs room. Directions for "In Case of Fire" were at hand. I think there was even a rod for the sliding door to keep it closed from any possible intruder.
