Amazing
Maxxy icon Fine Quality Hotel in Superb Location!

42 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

First of all, I got an excellent price for Thanksgiving! This was fantastic because this hotel is located on the southern part of Chicago's Magnificent Mile! They upgraded my room to a lake view and I had an fabulous view of Grant Park and Lake Michigan! Absolutely breath taking! This hotel is downtown where parking is difficult, but this hotel has excellent valet parking! It's a daily fee with unlimited in-out parking from 6am to midnight. This Best Western Grant Park Hotel is located on Michigan Avenue where there are many many many bus lines, so there is no need to move your car once you arrive. This is an ideal location for holiday shopping and touring. The room was well designed and lovely! Large flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, balcony and complimentary internet! The room was a bit small and snug, but that was not an issue.

There is a nice restaurant connected to the hotel. The hotel lobby is nice for relaxing and people watching! Highly recommended!!

I am very likely to return to the Best Western Grant Park Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

member icon Great People, Aging Facilities

19 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed here with my family when we visited Chicago one time. At the time, they were doing their renovation. It probably would have been better if we had not been there at the time, but it was ok.

The renovation was obviously needed as the hotel was quite post-war 60's when we were there. Our room overlooked an empty outdoor swimming pool that looked like it was in serious disrepair. (I think it was being renovated.) The rooms were ok, but not fancy. Obviously, the key attraction here is low Best Western prices, and close proximity to Grant Park, The Miracle Mile, and Downtown.

However, there were some upsides. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which is not the case sometimes at aging hotels. There was even a bellhop. In some ways, this hotel seemed stuck in time. The dining room was lovely, very '60's, but beautiful and fancy. The food was tasty, well-priced, and served by a professional and gracious staff.

Now that their renovation is done, this hotel is probably one of the cheapest and nicest hotels along Michigan Avenue, a good budget choice without staying at a motel.

Got this hotel on priceline so I had no idea what I was getting into. I read the reviews and was a little wary. I only needed the room for one night as I was staying at the Hilton 4 blocks away for the following 3 nights. I was pleasantly surprised by the location and found the reviews to be very harsh. I was particularly impressed after I checked into the Hilton. The Best Western wasn't as nice in appearance, but the staff was pleasant and easy to access and they didn't charge for everything. At the Hilton we had to pay for internet access, the fitness facility, and even for having them hold your bags after you checked out. I would definately choose the Best Western over the Hilton.

It was a great location, in walking distance to everything we intended to visit. The room was typical of a mid range room.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Best Western Grant Park Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
