the staff was very nice. the room was really big and the bed was comfortable. the furniture did not look like a hotel room. you felt as if you were in your own bedroom. it was just used as a place to sleep. it definitely served its purpose and beyond. they have a breakfast in the morning. One thing to note is that the AC in the rooms are on Energy Saver and turn off automatically when the room hits a certain temp. It will turn back on like 10 min later. Also, since this hotel is about 7 miles outside Atlantic City, you'll probably need a cab to drive you in. Although, there is a shuttle ($20 p/person) from this hotel to SHOWBOAT (its a package that comes with other stuff, all the details are in the lobby). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, IF YOU GET A CAB, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT PAY OVER $25 ONE WAY. THIS IS A FLAT RATE, THAT I GOT. Some of the taxi guys will rip you off charging $40. REMEMBER, $25 (or $30 with no tip; trust me, they calculate the tip in). I used AC Taxi and got this one guy (i think Juan was his name, young guy prob about late 20's). He was awesome, really good conversation during the ride, on-time, and a really good driver. The other taxi guy i had (was the first night and we were in a pinch) was a maniac driver). Hotel was definately worth it. If you dont want a taxi costs (i spent like $185 in just taxis) there is actually a car rental place up the road from this Hotel (http://just4wheels.com/ in Absecon; listed on their site as JFW GALLOWAY 324 E. WHITE HORSE PIKE GALLOWAY, NJ 08205) if i would have know i may have gone there. So hope this helps you. I would definitely stay there again.

Okay
pros: good service when you need them, right off highway, close to casinos-=beachbring your black lights with you because there are tons of wonderful things to find lurking beneath the sheets at this hotel's beds. You might need to also call room...

The staff at the desk seemed to have no business experience at all. When checking in, the man just put his hand out for money, he did not say how much it was or as for my credit card. He was not friendly. Then, after we had reserved a non smoking room, it smelled so much like smoke that I was coughing. Our refrigerator was not working and we found that the wires from the outlet were cut, so we had to move the fridge across the room, and it still barely kept anything cold. When checking out, they didn't say thank you or ask how anything was. But the WORST part was the housekeeping. They woke us up to ask to clean the room yelling through the door EVERY MORNING between 8 and 10 AM! Even on our checkout day! I have NEVER been to a hotel where they cleaned the room at 8 or 9 am! They also went in the room even though we put the do not disturb sign on the door. However, the thermostat worked great, the jetted tub in the standard king was huge, and the bed was very comfortable. Just what you need for an affordable stay. But being woken up every morning by yelling in foreign language is not my idea of a vacation. The staff could be friendlier for sure.
