Unfortunately, I chose this establishment for two colleagues scheduled to conduct business in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. The hotel's clerk stated that a credit card was required in order for me to be able to reserve a room for my associates. I made it abundantly clear to her that, under no circumstances, were expenses of any kind, for any reason, to be posted to the my credit card, without my being notified. She assured me that nothing of the sort would take place and that the credit card was merely required in order to reserve the room. As fate would have it, the business trip was canceled, and the card was charged in the amount of $197.80. This is precisely what I was told would not happen. I asked to speak with the owner, Mr. Patel, and he has not returned my calls. The hotel's manager, provided a very feeble, canned explanation as to why I was charged a "cancellation fee." I have less objection to the fee than to being lied to. Be careful of this particular establishment.
