Best Western Desert Inn Hotel - Page 1

First thing I noticed when I walked into the room was the smell of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room, and the carpet needed to be replaced. Then when my wife used the bathroom, there was something sticky on the toilet seat? The worst of all was when my wife got into bed and said it smelled like Bengay. I went to the bed to smell for myself and sure enough the bed had dirty sheets. When she called the front desk, they offer to bring sheet if we wanted to put fresh sheets on the bed ourselves. Instead, we slept in the other bed which was squeaky. In the morning when we went to make coffee, there was a dust bunny and a dead mosquito behind the coffee maker. We then went to the front desk to talk to the manager, John Stallings, who acted as if this was no big deal and he didn't discount the room. We paid $177 for a discusting dirty room.

I had a good stay with no problems. The best part is that they allowed my dog to stay which is important to me.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They were very polite and offered information on local restaurants and sights. They were accommodating to both the guests and their pets.
