Staff is always very respectful and friendly. I've stayed here several times and continue to stay there. the rooms are generally kept clean; I've had one room where there was some dirt and trash, however the majority of the time the rooms are kept immaculate. facilities (pool, restaurant) are kept in good order and are of good quality. the single bed rooms with the king sized bed don't have too many power outlets; there is one power strip away from the bed near the desk and there is one outlet behind the head of the bed but hard to reach. i would recommend bringing a spare power strip or small extension cord if you plan on using electronics. It has a "homely" atmosphere and feels welcoming. I have yet to be disappointed with the best western of coeur d alene.
I am very likely

They charged more than we were told the room would cost. They would not give us a receipt. The room service said the menu had changed so food on the room service menu in room was not available.

The room was wonderful and the bed exceptional. Our room was entered illegally during our stay and the staff took a nonchalant attitude. We solved the problem without their help.

The overall experience was typical for this very delightful place. The location is perfect for all my needs with easy access. Although the cost is slightly higher than some Best Western's, the services are much higher. It is extremely high quality.
They recognized me upon all my return after checking in and offered many suggestions as to local entertainment and shopping.

The beds were the best we've ever slept on. The rooms were kept immaculately clean by the staff. We did have a bad experience with someone taking prescription drugs out of the room but we don't know who was responsible. They were recovered later.
We were tired at the end of the day. The rooms had nice TV, refrigerator, and microwave so we could eat in the room if we desired.

Overpriced. Not a bad hotel, but we felt they gouged because of the Ironman event being held there. We stayed in a much nicer room in MT for $75/night after we left.
The hotel is not near the Lake, or the Resort, and so it's not the best choice for downtown activities. (Like a 7 am swim start!)
We'll check out B&Bs or rent a house next year.
