Upon booking I spoke with someone who was extremley helpful. However, when we checked in, the staff was extremly rude!The first impression was terrible.We booked 2 rooms with king beds and views of the river. When we got our keys we had 2 queen beds

The Best Western Downtown is not really Downtown. They are located on Spring Street which is on the edge of the peninsula. You will have to either drive to the historic district or take public transportation (which is not always reliable)...

The location was excellent. The free shuttle service into Charleston was a definite plus. The rooms were adequate. The restaurant service was slow, but the food was good. The view was terrific. We would stay there again.
