49 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
Their room needs updating. The carpet is worn and it has older furniture. The hotel in general is shabby. The breakfast was poor also.

I enjoyed the stay. The key didn't work at first. The ice machine was broken and the kids pool playground was closed when we expected it to be open.

The children's water rides were closed. They were advertised but they were not available on arrival. The key did not work in one of the rooms. I called the front desk and no one came. The ice maker was not working one day. I called front desk again. They said someone would come and bring ice. No one showed. The ice maker was working later that night.

They used a bait and switch tactic. I booked a room with the Best Western Cavern Inn, (near Carlsbad Caverns) by using the Automobile Club Tour Book. When I arrived, the put me in their other independently owned motel next door at the same price at a much lower quality. I thought bait and switch tactics were illegal! I did not put up with this underhanded business practice and drove 20 miles to the next hotel.
