The breakfast is resonably priced and has a good choice of food, they also serve lunch there, and there are many restaurants close to the hotel for dinner. I chose this hotel for its downtown location but got a lot more. The hotel was centrally located, everything you could want from Chinatown to the waterfront to the tram stops within a 5 block radius. Great cafes, restaurants, shopping, nightlife....

The Carlton is an older hotel - I felt like it was a 2 star, not a 3 star. The rooms were very small, the beds were older and mattresses not comfortable, I had to go buy a pillow in town as they only had one size. It was clean - and extremely well...
