I live 5 minutes away from Best Western Lanham and thought it would be convenient to stay at this hotel as my house is under remodeling. I inquired if I can get a room and a front desk clerk, Kayode, stated that they were "sold out." I later on found out that they had availability all along as I called 2 hours later to double check with another front desk clerk.
I will definitely complain to management and never give Best Western in Lanham business. I ended up staying at the Days Inn down the road and was delighted with extra friendly staff. It's ashamed how one person destroys the image of Best Western. Best Western needs to reconsider staff and offer better "customer service."
