My sister and I were taking our mother to the hospital the next day. We arrived late in the evening. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a hospital rate. We received an oversized room, with a sleeper sofa, great for three people used to sleeping alone. We had plenty of room to spread out. My sister and I went down to the breakfast area about 5 am, before they were scheduled to open and the hostess allowed us access to the cold breakfast items items at that time (she was still setting up). Another guest came down while we were there. The front desk made sure we had our directions to the hospital straight and were very accomadating. I loved the fact that the whole place was non smoking [not good for smokers] but I did notice someone smoking outside. Overall the place was clean and quiet dispite being on a very busy street.

Once you get over the cheesy faux-tudor decor, there were enough other problems that would cause me to stay away.

First of all, I was charged $10 over the quoted rate. Arguing about it didn't help and it was too late to find another place.

Secondly, the room was damp, clammy, and musty smelling.

Third, the pillows were lumpy.

While the breakfast was adequate, there are enough other places to stay in the Coralville/Iowa City area that I'll be there and not here.

I love this hotel and they always honor a previous rate that I got.

We love to have short getaways with our family. It's great no matter where we go.

This hotel is located close to the most important places in the area(Univ. of Iowa, Coral Ridge Mall, Amana Colonies, city downtown) and offers a hot breakfast every morning. Be sure to ask for smoking or non-smoking room or you will have to ask for a room change. There is no elevator in the hotel, but it has only two floors. So, if you have too much luggage (or heavy bags), better ask for first level. The indoor rooms are closer to the swimming pool and are noisier.

This was a very comfortable and accommodating motel. I was favorably impressed and I plan on using it again when I am in that area.

The room was just pleasant to be in and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also close to our destination.

The location was close to highway. The bed was very comfortable. I had wireless Internet connections at no additional charge.

I was there for the Special Olympics and the staff was just fantastic.

It was the most beautiful, nicest room I have ever stayed in, with double sinks and canopy beds. There was an excellent breakfast at the poolside. I would certainly recommend it.

The friendly staff aimed to please and met our every need.
