Best Western Bell Hotel

The check in staff was able to work around other customers that were causing problems and still deal with us in a happy manner.

The hotel was a bit expensive, but in line with others in the area. It was easy to get to, with easy access to main roads.

We made a last minute reservation when another Best Western was full on a three day weekend. With a senior discount we paid $140 for a smoking room with two double beds for two adults and two dogs. Their prices were not posted on the door.

Their written pet policy states pets cannot be left alone which would present a challenge in the Phoenix heat.

This is an older building, and the room was run down. The carpet was filthy and stained. The air conditioner went on and off sounding like a train throughout the night waking me up.

We were desperate as it was getting late, but if I had it to do over, I would try to call Hotels.com if I could not go online.

We had just stayed at a La Quinta in Orange County, Ca, with similar accommodations for around $100 and found everything to be much better.

The location is convenient to the freeway. It was clean and reasonably priced. They have a friendly front desk staff. The parking area is well lit. It's quiet, with no street noise.

This hotel made me feel practical: It was good accommodations for the price.

I liked the location and the staff. This chain is always very good value.
