Best Western Barons Hotel Hotel - Page 1

Arrived on Tuesday with confirmation number in hand for 3 day stay.Was told I could only stay one night then would have to leave.My room was given to a group that was paying more than my company was paying for it.They had me booked at another hotel across town,however I could check back in Thursday after the other guests had left.They had double booked and my confirmation # was not worth anything.Others also had same fate.Customer service awful.STAY AWAY !

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room was large, bright and clean. I couldn't have asked for it to be any better!

The staff at the front desk seemed "hasstled" by customers - even for simple tasks like checking in and checking out. They charged me the wrong rate and wouldn't fix it. Once I talked to the Manager (a REALLY nice guy), he fixed the rate and promised to talk to ALL employees about quality of customer service.

I was on the first floor - and it appears the hotel only has one level, which seemed strange at first....but it worked well. Most rooms seem to have separate access through screen doors - which makes unloading and loading your car extremely easy.

I would definately reccomend this hotel if you are staying in Ottawa and don't mind driving 15 to 20 minutes to get to most attractions. The area is nice too - there's a Tim Horton's and Gas station across the street and the hotel is right near both of the major highways.
