Best Western Airport Inn Charlotte Hotel - Page 1

We stayed at hotel on the way to and from our destination based on the recommendation of a friend. The hotel put us in the back of the building in a rather dark area. When loading the car the next morning on the way out of town, we put 2 suitcases in the trunk and returned to the room to get the other luggage only to find out that the first had been stolen out of our car trunk. We were parked just outside our room door and it was 4:30 in the morning! The hotel staff did little to nothing to help out but only gave us a phone number to call - we had to leave to catch our flight but kept calling on the trip with little results. It wasn't until our return that we were able to catch the manager who only offered to give us the night free. It took $1200 to replace the clothing stolen and our prescription medicines were also in the bags which were taken. We left our car parked there for the trip and were concerned about it but all was ok with the car when we returned. This is in a bad neighborhood and there are security concerns which are not being addressed. The security cameras were of no help in identifying the theives. They need to beef up the security in the whole area near the Interstate 85 hotels!

This hotel is very convenient to I-85 and the Charlotte airport. Their park and fly program worked really well for us. The shuttle was there on time as promised to take us to the airport and we called when our flight returned and they promptly picked us up and returned us to our car. Our car was parked at the hotel for 12 days and was in the same condition as it was when we left it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was sufficient and all was clean. It's an older motel, nothing fancy, but we saw no real problems. We have already recommended it to others and will stay there again ourselves.

The first desk clerk was very helpful in directions to and from nearby White Water center. The second desk clerk did not know the local area, he was going to send us twenty miles away for local dining. The third desk clerk knew the area and was very helpful in providing info The bed pillows were about the worst I have ever had to use. They were lumpy, with broken down foam pillows. I will bring my pillows from home from now on.

It was very close to the airport, so it was conveniently located. It had a reasonable price and it was available on short notice. The place was clean and adequate.

The location is very convenient to the airport.
