Best Budget Inn Lake Erie - Sandusky is located five miles from the beaches of Cedar Point. The property is less than one-half mile from shopping and a movie theatre. Island ferries are 12 miles from the hotel. The hotel offers complimentary newspapers in the lobby and complimentary continental breakfast daily. Business services are offered at the front desk. We paid for a place to sleep that offered a free continental breakfast. Had a place to sleep, the bed was rather hard, and the room not so clean. Breakfast was one tray of danishes, coffee if you were ready for it prior to 9 am, orange juice only if the carafe was washed properly. Staff seemed to be there just to do the job, not to exceed the customers expectations of the place. Never even asked as we were checking out, how our stay was, or if everything was as we had anticipated. Pool was nice, yet the pool area was littered with cigarette butts, and no butt can for the smokers to use. Learned a lesson in you get what you pay for.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were okay. not great, tvs old, but remotes worked, not always enough hot water,lights worked/didn't work, but staff helpful. Complimentary breakfast, ok. Pool, kids loved it. Stayed 3 nights, and it was ok for the money, needed a place to lay our heads and we could!!
