We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Some of the reviews I read before staying there led me to believe the opposite. We were pleased with the hotel all in all, however there were a few things we both felt could make the property better. The bedding in our room was less than stellar. The down quilt was non existent, sandwiched between two sheets and topped with an extremely heavy and unimpressive bedspread. The pillows were not comfortable at all. We had a burned out bulb over the bed and one burned out over the vanity in the bathroom that remained unchanged for our stay. All things considered we would go back there.

I stayed at the Bellagio with my mom and her husband on their second honeymoon. The hotel is gorgeous. You walk in and are immediately amazed by the multi-colored mushrooms hanging from the lobby ceiling. The hotel its self is awe inspiring. Everything is 5 star. The spa, shops, fountains. My favorite part of the hotel has to be its fountains. They have small fountains with Cherubs in them and then they have the world famous Bellagio Fountains in front of the hotel, they even have a chocolate fountain in the hotel. Amazing. One of the best experiences of my life.

i thought this was a fantastic hotel. we upgraded at a cost of next to nothing for a fountain view. wonderful service. staff very helpful and spa was out of this world. the only downside was the chinese restaurant which was absolutely awful and extra expensive. the creperie was ooooh just gorgeous and the bar across from it did fab cocktails with 5* service. its huge and i did get lost a few times but the men at the residents lifts were most helpful. you would be mad not to try the bellagio.

35 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I am writing this review from the hotel room. First let me just say how unimpressed I was at the hotel and the service.

Checkin -

Checkin took more than 30 mins. After a long 9 hour drive from San Francisco the last thing we wanted to do was wait another 30 mins to checkin to the hotel room. The lines were terribly long and there weren't enough staff to check people in.

Once we were finally checked in, we had to walk through the casino in order to get to the hotel room. With such a crowded lobby and casino you can just imagine what a hassle this was!

Room -

The room is very dated. The television set is a 27 inch Philips flat screen (notice not flat panel). One door panel of the TV cabinet was missing and they just left the screw and bolt dangling. Again is this really 5 diamond? I've stayed in many hotels all over the world and this is the first time I've ever seen this! There were markings on the walls - just wear and tear I guess over the years. There were two chairs in the room which looked very dingy and worn. And to top it off one corner of the room smelled like vomit!

Bathroom -

The bathroom is very spacious and nicely decorated. There is both a bath tub and a shower stall (the drain in the shower stall was clogged!). There is only one sink however.

Overall, I had such high expectations for this hotel and had a very disappointing experience here. In all honesty for $100 less the New York, New York hotel was not much of step down from this room at the Bellagio. If you're looking for a hotel on the strip, I would recommend the Venetian. All rooms are suites, you get more for your money, and there is easier access to the hotel room without having to lug your luggage through the casino.

I am not likely to return to the Bellagio.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I got married here and booked a salon suite, they put us in a 4th floor suite over looking constr site & no fountain view as promised by man checking us in. My fiancee went back downstairs & they put us on 21st floor w/view of fountains and said quietly to him if you stay just a couple days they put you in a not that great view, but if staying longer you get a fountain view, and that's an upgrade, but they"woudln't charge us" for this. Next day got call from front desk flowers arrived that prior nite; wedding coordin called, & no flowers came. Re; bar/if you remove an item its motion sensor'd & you get charged $4-5 as they assume you've consumed it when you may just look at ingredients. 2 of us went to front desk as we saw charges on your tv screen acct; a snippy front desk lady actually argued with us about this & was not going to take off the charges. (4-5 charges). She said read the sign. Room decor was just ok; I expected more for a suite almost 900 sq. ft. I spent a lot of $ there but I won't stay there again, nor prob not recommend it.
