Bed and Breakfast Calgary City View - Page 1

We booked a room at City View B&B for a wedding that took place during the Stampede period. We were told the main house was full and asked if we wanted a room in the “other” lodge that was a little down the hill. Having looked at their web site, everything looked fine, so assuming the “other” lodge was as good as the main lodge we happily agreed. When we arrived, very tired from quite a few days on the road from California, we were driven to the “other” lodge a couple blocks away and taken into the most rundown house and room I have stayed in since I was a young adult. Lights didn’t work, there were no smoke alarms (my husband is a retired fire chief), there was no room to put luggage, peeling walls, mismatched furniture, I injured my ankle in an open grate, etc., etc., etc. all at we thought were sky high rates. When we complained we were told we were lucky to have it. We had no choice but to stay there 2 nights for that night and the night of the wedding, but we left a day early without a refund. Stay away from this location.
